Pressing and preserving flowers has been enjoyed by many. This series of 5 workshops is an opportunity to explore and connect more closely with one plant at a time through observing and working with it. We will be using a microwave for fast results without having to wait days or weeks, in order to begin a herbarium, which is a good way to learn and document the medicinal plants growing around us. Each workshop consists of a three part process – taking a walk to collect the plant material, followed by pressing & drying, then mounting and recording details.
We will be meeting at 10am in the carpark next to the river Ericht for a walk and in order to collect samples for pressing and mounting. Bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
