Pitlochry and District Adult Education Association
Creating Healing Healthy Interiors with Pitlochry resident, Carol Aitken (CAAitken Designs) will not only introduce you to the different aspects of interior decoration and design such as colour, pattern, texture, lighting, space planning and personality but also the use of plants, crystals, de-cluttering, using natural materials and how they can be used to enhance the atmosphere and energy in the spaces we occupy that will improve our overall well-being.
I have extended the time the course is running this year so it is now 2 x 5
blocks of evening classes with a break over Easter to allow more time for experimenting, gathering samples and developing ideas.
You are asked to choose a room in your home you would like to refurbish. Living rooms, bedrooms, playrooms, studies and halls are more interesting to use than bathrooms and kitchens because of the opportunity to use a wider range of materials and furniture ideas.
In the first block we will look at the different aspects such as Colour and Colour Schemes, Pattern etc and will include Mood Boards as a means to help you create and finalise your ideas. During the break if not before you will be able to investigate and gather samples of potential materials and furnishings. Then the second block will focus on your ideas and develop solutions for your chosen room.
Starts Thursday 28th February – 28th March and Thursday 25th April – 23rd May in the HPCP Office, 23 Atholl Road, Pitlochry 6.30pm – 9pm (£70)
